Anti-Slavery Week is a UK and European initiative that aims to raise awareness about modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation. There are over 50 million people thought to be trapped in slavery globally, with 130,000 cases in the UK and an estimated 1,000 people in Derbyshire. Numbers are increasing year-on-year so this is a growing problem, made all the more difficult to identify and control as the crime is often hidden in plain sight.
At Rebuild we understand and see the impact that exploitation has on survivors. We are here to walk alongside them, providing specialist support and ensure that no-one has to recover alone.

During Anti-Slavery Week 2026, we are asking businesses to put the spotlight on the issue of modern slavery and help provide support for survivors so they have the opportunity to rebuild their lives.
