Long term support

We provide long term advocacy and practical assistance tailored to each individual’s unique needs, emotional support through wellbeing initiatives, therapy and coaching, and community support through group activities.

Group 79

A brighter future

Every journey is personal, so we listen and work closely with survivors to help them regain control of their lives. Whether it’s securing housing, accessing therapy, connecting with solicitors and employers, or reducing isolation through group support, we’re here to guide each person toward a future of hope and resilience.

Our vision statement

To break the cycle of exploitation, empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and embrace a hope filled future.

A message from our CEO Lesley

Rebuild East Midlands began in 2017 as one of six pioneering Home Office pilot projects across the UK, dedicated to addressing the long-term recovery needs of modern slavery survivors. I founded Rebuild after recognising a crucial gap in support for those who had escaped exploitation but faced significant barriers to rebuilding their lives.

Today, I am proud of the transformative impact Rebuild has on both individuals and communities. Witnessing the individuals we support not only overcome their challenges but also thrive and embrace new opportunities fills me with immense pride.

We are consistent

As a long term support provider we want to be consistent in our approach to support and partnering with individuals

Path 24

We promote empowerment

We work with individuals to redress the power imbalance that exploitation creates. We want to partner with those we work with to shape their own support, to develop resilience and support the choices and decisions they make themselves.

Union 1

We focus on the individual

Valuing every individual and their uniqueness, we seek to understand, respect and embrace the backgrounds and experiences of every individual.

Group 75

We are flexible

We are constantly evolving, thinking creatively, seeing potential and embracing a flexible approach to all aspects of our work.
