During Small Charity Week you can make double the difference for people in Derby & Derbyshire who are recovering from the impact of exploitation through modern day slavery. Your matched donation will help provide practical, emotional and community support to enable and empower them to rebuild their lives.
This could mean help securing permanent accommodation, education or employment opportunities, joining groups and activities to combat isolation and build community, or support dealing with their trauma through our therapy and wellbeing service.
Please support us during Small Charity Week and make a difference.
You can be the helping hand that offers hope and a future free of exploitation.

Amina was brought to the UK by a wealthy family who promised her a good job as a nanny. Upon arrival in the UK Amina’s passport was confiscated and she was forced into domestic servitude. For 10 years she was abused and trapped in slavery at households across the UK, working as a cleaner, cook and child minder for money she could not keep.
It wasn’t until a neighbour spotted that something wasn’t right and alerted the police, that Amina was assisted and moved to a safe space.
On her referral to Rebuild she felt isolated and traumatized. Over time, we introduced her to Rebuild groups and activities where she started to connect with others, and supported her to access English classes and later apply to university. Now Amina is living her life free from exploitation, has a job and is hopeful for the future.
Your gift will help people like Amina.
