We are proud to share that Rebuild East Midlands has joined the Ethical Trading Initiative NGO Caucus.
This is an important step for Rebuild. ETI is a global space where decisions are made that shape how exploitation is understood, prevented and responded to across supply chains worldwide. These conversations matter, because they affect real people and real lives.
At Rebuild, our work is rooted in lived experience. Every day we support people who are rebuilding their lives after exploitation. Their voices, insight and resilience shape everything we do. Being part of the ETI NGO Caucus means those experiences can help inform policy, standards and practice at a wider level, not as an afterthought, but as a trusted and informed perspective.
Our membership reflects the credibility Rebuild has built through survivor-informed, frontline work. It gives us a platform to share what exploitation looks like beyond theory or compliance frameworks, and to highlight what genuine prevention, protection and recovery require in practice.
This is not just about being present in the room. It is about using that space responsibly. We are committed to contributing learning from our work with survivors, challenging approaches that prioritise process over people, and advocating for responses that centre dignity, safety and long-term recovery.
We also value the opportunity to learn alongside other NGOs, trade unions and responsible businesses who are serious about tackling exploitation properly. Collaboration matters. Change happens when organisations listen, reflect and act together.
Most importantly, this moment belongs to the Rebuild team and the people we support. It reflects the care, integrity and consistency shown every day by a team committed to survivor-centred practice and meaningful change.
We look forward to what we can help shape together, and to continuing to ensure that lived experience remains at the heart of ethical trade.
